Happy Easter

April represents a month of death and rebirth. This Week is Holy Week, and a very special time for Christians as we recall the Last Supper, Christs Crucifixion and death and then His glorious Resurrection.

At the Last Supper we see Jesus washing the feet of His disciples, showing that “service to others” is what He urges us to do today and every day. My appreciation and honest thanks to all the customers suppliers and especially our staff for their “service and dedication” in everything you do.

WE are all facing a certain amount of insecurity, just like the Disciples of Jesus during the first Holy Week. By Good Friday they must have been full of grief and distress, but and yet we now know that Easter Sunday was about to follow. In the story of the raising of Lazarus, Jesus declares “I am the Resurrection and the life” These words have brought great relief and encouragement down through the centuries and a reminder that even through the darkest times the Light and Hope of the Risen Lord will continue to shine.

It was in the Spring,

The Passover had come.

There was feasting in the streets and joy.

But an awful thing

Happened in the Spring -

Men who knew not what they did

Killed Mary's boy.

He was Mary's Son,

And the Son of God was He -

Sent to bring the whole world joy.

There were some who could not hear,

And some were filled with fear -

So they built a cross

For Mary's Boy

HAPPY EASTER!!

April is usually our memoir month, where we show our respects to Jesus for His loving sacrifice to free us all.

This month we would also like to offer our respects to the late Paco Rabanne, a perfume and fashion legend by all means!

Paco Rabanne was known as the rebel designer, with a career that flourished in the family owned company Puig, who also own other designer houses such as Nina Ricci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carolina Herrera and Dries Van Noten. Rabanne passed away at his home in Portsall, France.

He was once recorded mentioning that his mother had been locked in jail because of her scandalous choice of fashion. This may be a strong motivating factor for his even later focus on the rights of women and refugees.

In fashion he was most famous for using materials that centered around ideas aimed at sustainability, as well as unique linking techniques. This later evolved into DIY kits for women to make their own fashion at home. These kits contained discs, rings and ever pliers.

While some thought his fashion designs were unwearable, his fragrances were totally the opposite. He modernised what perfume is with his daring debut Calandre, which can still be bought today. His fragrances such as Lady Million, Black XS, Olympea and Invictus are considered to be perfume blockbusters, which people still love and appreciate today.

We believe that the name Paco Rabanne will still be on the lips of avid perfume enthusiasts long after his passing

Natchem would like to honour this perfumer legend with a memoir sale. We will be offering up to 10% off on some of our Paco Rabanne inspired favourites, in his honour!
